Novomatic charges Euro Games Technology with slot plagiarism lawsuit

lawyersAustrian gambling technology provider Novomatic Group (Novomatic) has filed a plagiarism lawsuit against Bulgarian slots and games manufacturer Euro Games Technology (Euro Games).

Filing its lawsuit within the Berlin District Court, Novomatic governance has charged Sofia-based Euro Games of ‘systematically and unfairly’ copying functions and titles of its games inventory.

Novomatic governance specifically questions the Euro Games slot titles of “Ultimate Hot”, “Olympus Glory”, “Flaming Hot”, “5 Dazzling Hot”, “Lucky Hot” and “Extremely Hot”.

The gambling technology provider further files its plagiarism lawsuit against Euro Games’ German distribution partner D-Systems GmbH, headquartered in Hanover.

Presenting its charges, Novomatic governance wants Euro Games to discontinue the games in question and further stated that it would demand compensation relating to damages.

Novomatic further detailed that similar legal actions were currently being prepared in other countries.
