DraftKings launches first phase of its NJ online casino

DraftKings has launched the first phase of its NJ online casino platform, after a blackjack game for Android users was incorporated into the firm’s existing sportsbook app for The Garden State.

According to Online Poker Report, more games will follow as the iOS client becomes available for Apple devices in the near future, but the operator has “no apparent plans to offer online poker in NJ or anywhere else”.

The same publication has speculated as to whether FanDuel, notoriously locked in a battle for market share with DraftKings, will match this casino offering, possibly through rebranding the existing Betfair NJ online casino under FanDuel colours.

It’s been a busy end of year period for DraftKings, who last week announced a strategic partnership with MMA’s Professional Fighters League (PFL), starting with a $25K prize giveaway around the PFL Championship finale on New Year’s Eve.

The 2018 PFL World Championship Pick ‘Em fantasy game will see MMA fans predict four outcomes for each of the six fights: Who will win the fight? What will the method of victory be? In what round will each fight end? At what time within that round will the fight end?
