Fantasy sports platform Mondogoal announced today that it has signed an agreement with Italian gaming giants, SISAL Group SpA and Lottomatica Scommesse S.r.l, to create a partnership which’ll mean theirs is the largest DFS network in the country. 
Rome-based Lottomatica is the world’s largest lottery operator. Its portfolio includes the Italian National Lottery as well as various other gaming services and related technologies.
The company is one of the world’s leading gaming solutions providers, with significant global market share and the broadest portfolio of technology, services, and content solutions.
Milan-based Sisal is the second largest gaming company in the Italian market, and the number one provider of payments services. The group operates in the gaming and betting market with a full spectrum of products in retail and online channels, with over 1,900 employees and a network of more than 45,000 points of sale.
Fans can begin playing customized white-label versions of Mondogoal directly on the Lottomatica and Sisal websites right away.

Mondogoal is licensed to operate globally, and is available for cash play in multiple major markets around the world, with specific emphasis on Italy, the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Ireland, and Brazil. It recently signed its latest club deal with Aston Villa and released its first Mondogoal app for iOS with the Android version due in the near future.
With rumours of a merger between major DFS operators DraftKings and Fanduel in the works, this poses a threat to gaming sites in terms of having their bigger players poached.
The inclusion of a fantasy football option for traditional bookmakers is looking like it will become an ever more important option in terms of customer retention.
