Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling rescue fantasy managers

Following an explosive weekend last time around, with plenty of players almost cracking the three figure barrier, SBC’s League of Legends saw more modest results this weekend.

As we approach the festive period where the games come thick and fast, Manchester City strengthened their position atop the Premier League, while Arsenal and Manchester United also earned wins, with the other clubs competing for the top four having to settle for draws.

A situation that also manufactured its way into this weekend’s fantasy football, with Tony Kelshaw taking full advantage of some stuttering scores to charge into the top ten with 70 points.  Lukas Fabianski set the tone, with a clean sheet earning the Swansea shot stopper nine points, Raheem Sterling top scored with 13, and captain Dele Alli saw his six points doubled to 12 as ‘Salford Reds’ finish in eighth with 739 overall.

Just behind, on the same points, is Konstantinos Digonis, whose 65 point haul also saw him leapfrog his way into the top ten.  Tottenham’s Harry Kane (captain) top scored for his side with 16 points, suitably backed up by Sterling (13 points) and Swansea full back Kyle Naughton (nine).

A little further back in 12th, on the cusp of this weekends top score and the top ten, is Algosport CEO Leigh Herdman who charged to 68 points.  Again it was Kane (captain, 16), Sterling (13) and Fabianski (nine), securing the main bulk of the points, backed up by Mohamed Salah (seven) and Richarlison (six).

A full round of midweek fixtures closes November for the Premier League, with Everton and West Ham due to meet at Goodison Park in a massive clash at the bottom of the table.

Fresh of the back of their four goal heroics at home, Southampton travel to table toppers Manchester City, with Watford due to host second placed Manchester United.

Elsewhere, struggling and managerless West Bromwich Albion welcome Newcastle, who have four straight defeats, to The Hawthorns, and Huddersfield Town take a trip to The Emirates to face Arsene Wenger’s side.
