Bit8 expands in Romania securing class 2 ONJN licence

bit8Industry online gambling software and platform provider Bit8 has confirmed that it has secured a class two B2B licence in Romania authorised by the Romanian gambling regulator ONJN.

The Class 2 licence comes after the re-regulation of the rapidly expanding Romania market back in September and will allow Bit8 to offer its multi-channel platform to both land-based and online operators.

The Malta-based gambling platform provider will enter the licensed Romanian market having secured an online casino supplier partnership with Super Bet the country’s biggest retail bookmaker.

Bit8 software will supply Super Bet’s digital brand Superbet.ro, with its online casino provisions. A Pleased Angelo Dalli, Bit8 CEO, commented on gaining the Class 2 Romania Licence :

Romania is an exciting market, and we are thrilled to have received our licence from the regulator. It’s testament to the quality of our platform that it passed so quickly; it has always been scalable and designed to be multi-jurisdictional.”

“We are particularly proud of its multi-channel functionality, helping cross-sell retail players into online as shown through our partnership with Super Bet. This, combined with our licence, gives us a springboard to work with other operators in the country.”
