SG Digital, the interactive gaming division of Nasdaq-listed Scientific Games Corporation (SGC), has significantly expanded its profile within the re-regulated Swedish online gambling marketplace after agreeing to a new exclusive partnership with state-owned operator Svenska Spel.
SG Digital has become the lead online platform provider for Svenska Spel casino and bingo verticals.
Furthermore, Svenska Spel digital offering will be enhanced through the operators access to SG Digital’s Open Platform (OPS) and Open Gaming (OGS) systems.
Updating the market, Dylan Slaney, SVP gaming at SG Digital, explained: “We’re thrilled to be working alongside Svenska Spel Sport & Casino, and together we will take them to the next level in this exciting regulated marketplace.
“Following a quick and simple integration, Svenska Spel Sport & Casino were ready to go live with one of the most comprehensive casino and bingo offerings available, in line with the new regulatory framework being introduced.”
In its update, SG Digital brands the importance of Sweden as a growth market, in which the SGC interactive division currently services ‘more than 50 brand partners across the region’.
Competing in a new look Swedish gambling marketplace, state-owned Svenska Spel has moved to improve its digital offering and operations.
