The European Casino Association (ECA) a trade body representing land-based casino enterprises operating across Europe, has confirmed that Philip Easthill has chosen to end his tenure as Secretary General.

Confirming its leadership departure, the ECA details that Easthill has chosen to join Brussels based marine leisure trade body ‘European Boating industry’ serving as the organisation’s Secretary General.

The ECA and its members thanked Easthill’s service and contribution as Secretary General, which saw the executive spearhead a number of projects and initiatives on policy regulatory development and oversight with regards to casino management, development of AML codes and European-wide standards.

Following  Easthill’s departure, the ECA will now be implementing a new leadership structure for its secretariat, which sees  Veronika Tisold serve its Executive Director, supported by CasinosAustria Head of Public Affairs, Hermann Pamminger appointed as a senior advisor.

Updating stakeholders, ECA chair Per Jadlung said: “During his time at the ECA, Mr Easthill showed high levels of professionalism bringing the interests of ECA’s members and partners forward with commitment and dedication, achieving our goals and positioning the association as a key stakeholder.

“He leaves the ECA in a very strong position for future growth. While he will be missed, we believe that he will be a true asset for the European Boating Industry. We now look forward to advancing the good work and further defending and promoting the interests of our sector.”
