The governance of Global Gaming AB has confirmed that it will challenge Swedish gambling inspectorate Spelinspektionen suspension of its Ninja Casino property.

This morning, Spelinspektionen issued an update detailing that it had revoked with immediate effect the license of Global Gaming subsidiary SafeEnt, the operating firm of Ninja Casino.

SafeEnt has been charged with multiple failures relating to ‘care of duty’, with regards to player protections, operator responsibility and failing AML procedures.

Global Gaming governance has moved to withdraw Ninja Casino’s website, but this afternoon communicated that it would issue an immediate formal challenge of Spelinspektionen’s suspension.

In its corporate update, Global Gaming states that SafeEnt has been ‘in dialogue’ with Spelinspektionen regarding its deficiencies, which were previously communicated to the authority.

The Stockholm enterprise is of the opinion that it has implemented measures to ensure that its business is conducted properly.

Updating the market, Tobias Fagerlund CEO of Global Gaming 555 AB has issued the following statement:-

“The morning’s message from the Gaming Inspectorate came unexpectedly because the company is of the opinion it has complied with the requirements set by the new legislation on gaming companies in Sweden. That they now come with this decision is strange to me”

“It is the opinion of the Company and the company’s legal advisors that all requirements for holding a license are now fully complied with. The company’s lawyers are of the firm opinion that Spelinspektionen’s decision lacks support in the game law and therefore the decision will now be appealed.”

“Of course we will appeal the decision and we have good reasons to believe that we will succeed in an appeal. That the license is now revoked lacks legal support and constitutes a disproportionate intervention that causes the company great damage
