European daily fantasy sports platform provider Scout Gaming continues its 2018 commercial momentum, announcing that it has secured a DFS supplier agreement with Norwegian public broadcaster NRK AS.

Securing its new partnership, Scout Gaming will be charged with delivering NRK broadcast properties with a ‘free-to- play’ World Cup Russia 2018’ fantasy sports product.

The NRK branded DFS product, will be primarily pushed through Norwegian broadcaster ‘TV2’, during Russia 2018 build-up and broadcasts, adding further audience engagement dynamics for Norwegian football fans.

NRK is Norway’s largest media operator, servicing public access TV and Radio ‘NRK channels’, and will be the national broadcast service for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The fact that Norway’s two largest TV channels combine and offer its viewers an opportunity to play DFS during the World Cup confirms the establishment of the gaming vertical in Europe.

We have previously seen successful examples of editorial integration when Norwegian TV2 has used our gaming platform for other sports. The fact that NRK now, along with TV2, engages in an editorial collaboration will further enhance the viewers’ experience as the number of players is expected to increase,” commented Scout Gaming CEO Andreas Ternström.
